S/4901 Antique Treen 18th Century Fruitwood Lady's Powder and Patch Box

A small Georgian Period fruitwood lady's powder and patch box, having a lid with a carved heart that is held in place by a protruding lug and the underside of the lid has a further small compartment for patches that has a lug fitted lid. The ball shaped body has incised line decoration and is raised on a shallow chip carved protruding foot, which conforms with the lid. It is a most tactile item and has a lovely colour and patination.
