S/4870 Antique Treen 19th Century Dated Walnut Snuff Shoe

A good walnut dated snuff shoe of the William IV period, having decorative brass pique decoration including on the sole and protruding heal. The sliding lid is dated 1833, making it a most interesting example made just before the Victorian period. The whole has a pleasing mellow colour and patination.
