S/4917 Antique Treen 19th Century Scottish Sycamore Oval Dish

An early 19th century Scottish sycamore oval dish of unusual form, having a top with chiselled decoration above two bands of willow, as found in bickers and coggies. It stands on a semi-circular arched foot with a polished recessed base. The whole has a medium colour with the remains of an old varnish finish.
