S/4955 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany and Tortoiseshell Snuff Box

An early 19th century mahogany and tortoiseshell snuff box, having a tortoiseshell hinged lid that has silver pique decoration with a central silver plaque initialled R.L.C. The body is made of mahogany and is an unusual shape, having vertical sides with an applied base. The whole has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
