S/4958 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Burr Wood Snuff Box

A finely carved lovely early 19th century burr wood snuff box, having a fitted lid beautifully carved with extremely fine detail, depicting a harbour scene with a ship unloading barrels and crates with three figures on the quay side. It also depicts a fortified building and lantern, probably showing the entrance to the harbour. The interior is fitted with tin foil. The whole has an excellent colour, grain and patination.
