S/5025 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae String Barrel

An attractive two section lignum vitae circular string barrel in heart and sap wood, having a well turned and screw domed lid with a central hole for the string and stepped turnings above the string container, which has an angled and stepped base. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
