S/5057 Antique 19th Century Oak Deed Box

A most useful solid oak box, having butt ends and of nailed construction with a pine base. The brass hinged lid opens to reveal an area of most useful proportions and it is fitted with a steel lock and key with a brass escutcheon. It is raised on a protruding plinth and has a good grain, colour and patination.
