S/5082 Antique Treen 19th Century Boxwood Adjustable Foot Rule

An unusual patent boxwood adjustable foot rule, calibrated in inches and shoe sizes with a brass cased sliding spring action stop, activated by a protruding metal thumb piece. The whole has a pleasing rich colour and retains a patination.
