S/5064 Antique Treen 19th Century American Walnut Lemon Squeezer

A fine quality solid American walnut 19th century two handled lever action lemon squeezer, having two halves that are united by a substantial decorative hinge and opens to reveal grooved slots to place the lemon, which then has three holes to one side for the juice to escape. The hinge is engraved with the maker J.H. Schintz San Francisco (California, United States). The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
