S/2550 Antique Treen 19th Century Lignum Vitae Plumber's Turnpin
A small lignum vitae plumber's turnpin, which came in all sizes, usually made of a hard wood such as lignum vitae and were used for opening up the ends of lead pipes. Nowadays they make ideal paperweights. The whole has a good colour and patination.
