S/5046 Antique Treen 19th Century Sycamore Bowl

An attractive 19th century bowl, having an interior with many knife marks, showing long term use. At one stage in its history it must have been dropped, as there is a continuous breakage join with the grain from rim to rim, which has been restored now showing a completely even join. The bowl, with double incised line decoration, is raised on a shallow foot. The whole has a lovely pale honey colour and patination.
