S/5081 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Cherry Wood Chip Carved Casket

An early 19th century chip carved casket, carved from a single piece of cherry wood with canted corners. The whole is intricately chip carved on all sides, including the dome top sliding lid and is raised on four small bun feet. It has a lovely rich colour and patination and is a desirable and most tactile piece.
