S/5131 Antique Treen Lignum Vitae Pestle and Mortar of the Georgian Period
An attractive turned George III lignum vitae mortar, with probably its original pestle, having a rounded bowl, a waisted centre, a lipped edge and a flared foot. The whole is made of heart wood with a pleasing grain, colour and patination.
