S/5093 Antique Treen 19th Century Cherry Wood Tea Caddy

A 19th century cherry wood tea caddy, having a body of tapered globular form with an inset fitted lid within a raised collar and exterior lip. There are faint traces of original painted decoration on the body, which have mostly disappeared through dusting and polishing. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
