S/5135 Antique Treen 18th Century Burr Wood Scottish Toddy Ladle

A most desirable Scottish ladle, having a bowl carved from a piece of well grained burr wood. The handle, with a flattened arrow head end, has a double prong inserted into the bowl and is held firm having split ends for two small wedges, as often found on the legs of chairs and stools. It is a must have for the serious collector and has an excellent colour and patination.
