S/5218 Antique Treen 18th Century Ash Long Handled Flesh Fork
A good quality 18th century flesh fork, having three shaped prongs and a well grained turned ash handle. These were used for cooking meats and fowls in an open down hearth or bar grate fire. The whole has a good colour and patination. See The Cauldron, the Spit and the Fire by Robert Deeley.
