S/5160 Antique Treen 19th Century Hickory Handled Toasting Fork
A 19th century hickory handled well used toasting fork, illustrated in The Cauldron, The Spit and The Fire by Robert Deeley on page 28, being used on a down hearth fire cooking a gobbet of venison. The handle has a natural colour with a burn mark and good patination.
