S/5200 Antique Treen 18th Century Burr Poplar Wood Culinary Bowl

A stunning 18th century burr poplar wood circular mixing bowl, carved from the solid and of large proportions. It is illustrated on page 218 being used with eggs and butter to make a cake. The whole has extensive chiselled markings and a natural colour and patination.
