S/5332 Antique Treen 19th Century Toraja Rice Spoon

A fine Toraja rice spoon from the Sulawesi Islands of Indonesia, having an elongated bowl. The curved handle follows the general design and has a small triangular hole below a heart shaped top. It is beautifully carved in a most delicate and attractive graceful form. The whole has a lovely rich colour and amazing patination, also showing signs of use with darkened staining.
