S/5333 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Lidded Compartment Box

An interesting lidded mahogany compartment box, having a sliding lid that reveals 24 lidded and numbered baize lined compartments, each retaining its own small raised pin handle. It was possibly used by a watchmaker or jeweller, but also ideal as a collector's item. The whole has a good colour and patination.
