S/5259 Antique Early 19th Century Chestnut and Ash Stool
An interesting Welsh stool, having a chestnut top, which was made by cutting a circular log lengthwise to make a horizontal top, leaving the underside in its natural rounded form. The four out swept turned legs are made of ash, which is often the case in country made furniture. The whole has an excellent colour and patination.
