S/5338 Antique Treen 18th Century Pear Wood Chopping Board with Attached Blade

An excellent and rare culinary item in solid pear wood, having a board initialled three times M.M. that has a protruding handle and suspension hole, above a well used octagonal surface with a surrounding sectioned gallery, containing a full length hinged chopping knife with a fruitwood handle. The whole has a most excellent colour and patination.
