S/5359 Antique Treen 19th Century Scandinavian Birch Lidded Food Box

A pleasing example of a Scandinavian birch food box, having a fitted decoratively carved lid with concentric incised lines. The base has a slightly angled underside and incised line decoration. The whole has a pleasing pale honey colour and patination.
