S/5349 Antique Treen 19th Century Laburnum Wood Nut Mallet

A useful well used Victorian laburnum wood barrel shaped mallet, having a turned handle in heart and sap wood for breaking the shells of nuts. The whole has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.
