S/5391 Antique Treen Late Victorian Pair of Scottish Salt Boxes

An excellent pair of Scottish wall mounted salt boxes, having suspension holes incorporated in the shaped backboards. The shaped boxes are of circular form, which are staved with alternate bands of beech and cherry wood with black bands. The conforming lids have wire hinges and both are in excellent condition with most attractive colour tones and patination.
