S/5401 Antique Treen Ash Handled Bird or Flesh Fork of the Georgian Period

A pleasing Georgian Period bird or flesh fork, having a well turned ash handle. It has been well used, as the base of the handle has slight burn marks showing, where the wood has come into contact with the fire. This is often the case and adds interest and character, which shows the item has been used for its original purpose. The whole has a good rich colour and patination.
