S/5440 Antique Treen 19th Century Scandinavian Birch Herb Chopper

A useful Scandinavian birch herb or vegetable chopper, having a hinged knife at the end of a U shaped container for placing the herbs etc., which when cut to the required amount falls into a circular bowl. The whole is of sturdy construction and is a most useful item for the kitchen. It has a pale colour and retains a patination.
