S/5464 Antique Treen 18th Century Herb Chopper

An excellent 18th century herb chopper, having a well turned black walnut handle. The attractively shaped steel blade has three separate stamps of a cross, lion and unicorn, just below the curved section. The whole has a lovely rich colour and patination.
