S/5486 Antique Treen 18th Century Staved Oak Costrel

A late 18th century staved oak iron bound costrel of sturdy construction, having a raised bung hole with a shaped thick wire swing handle. One end has well carved owner's initials in capital letters J.W.B. The whole has a dark rich colour and patination.
