S/5502 Antique Treen 19th Century Boxwood Willow or Straw Splitter

A small hand held Victorian willow or straw splitter, used for splitting the lengths for the use of making baskets or straw hats etc. The channelled sides end with a fitted brass three bladed cutter. The whole has a medium colour and retains a patination.
