S/5506 Antique Treen 19th Century Cedar Wood Turned Container

An attractive cedar wood turned container, probably used for the storage of matches. The domed screw fitting lid, with a beaded edge, conforms with the base and it is seated on a vertical foot. The whole has a good mellow colour and patination.
