S/5495 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Large Double Ended Lignum Vitae Pestle

An exceptionally large double ended lignum vitae pestle, which would have been used for a floor standing mortar of large proportions. The whole has an excellent colour and grain and retains a patination. It has an historic patinated knot hole to the centre section.
