S/5577 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Welsh Sycamore Dairy Bowl
An excellent early 19th century Welsh dairy bowl, having a well used interior and incised lined angled rim. The exterior has reeded decoration and very noticeable pole lathe turning rings, with the whole raised on a shallow foot. It has an excellent pale milky colour and patination, owing to the repeated exposure and absorption of casein from milk, associated with extensive use in a dairy.
