S/5551 Antique Treen 19th Century Sycamore Butter Worker

A 19th century sycamore rectangular butter worker, having a raised turned central handle, which is removable with a screw thread. Butter workers were used in the dairy for working the water out of butter. The whole has a pale colour, as often found with dairy items, and retains a patination.
