S/5655 Antique Treen 19th Century Swedish Birch Salting Dish

A most useful 19th century birch salting dish or trough, made from a single piece of wood, with a carved number 4 on the base. The whole has a good pale colour and retains a patination. It would make an ideal bowl for fruit.
