S/5619 Antique Treen 19th Century Mahogany Heart Shaped Inscribed Snuff Box

An unusual small Victorian mahogany heart shaped snuff box, having a fitted lid intitialled W.L. and inscribed 'forget me not', done with minute raised mahogany pins instead of the usual brass pique work. The sides are rounded with a protruding foot and the whole has a pleasing colour and patination.
