S/5616 Antique Treen 19th Century Boxwood Brewery Rule/Measure

An interesting boxwood brewery rule, having many various inscribed measurements for gallons, firkins, kilderkins, barrels and hogsheads. It is inscribed with the maker, J Long 43 East Cheap London. Joseph Long was a maker of mathematical, optical and hydrometer instruments, as well as rules and measures. The whole has a pleasing honey colour and retains a patination.
