S/5620 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Small Rare Carved Dog's Head Snuff Box

A beautifully carved early 19th century fruitwood dog's head snuff box, having a silver hinged lid that has a vacant silver inset panel surrounded by channelled decoration. The dog's head is intricately carved with hair, floppy ears, eyes, nose and mouth. It is a serious item for the collector and has an excellent rich colour and patination.
