S/5684 Antique Treen 19th Century Twin Handled Birch Wood Cheese Strainer
An interesting cheese straining bowl in birch wood, having a central exit hole for draining the whey and twin handles with a suspension hole. It has a small ancient shrinkage crack to the bowl. Whey is the watery part of the milk that remains liquid when the rest forms curds. The whole has a medium colour with a well used patination.
