S/5714 Antique Treen 18th Century Oak Initialled and Dated Oatcake Peel

A rare Welsh oak oatcake peel of pleasing proportions, having a flat handle with an integral semi circular suspension hole and initialled 'I.T.' and dated 1770. The well grained thin blade, with a rounded end, is ideal for removing oakcakes from the oven. It is an interesting and most tactile item for the collector and retains a patination.
