S/5742 Antique 19th Century Scottish Horn Snuff Mull
A good Scottish horn snuff mull, having a silver collar inscribed 'The Gift of his Son William' and a hinge supporting the cork lined lid, which has a silver cartouche above a thistle inscribed S.M. It has a carefully fashioned curled tail, showing the skill of the horner. The whole has a rich dark colour and fine patination.
