S/5796 Antique Treen Mid 19th Century Mahogany Shaped Chip Carved Knitting Sheath

A mahogany knitting sheath having a curled end and an angled cut for the cow band (apron string). The needle end is carved with angled steps and the back is chip carved with heart and zig zag designs. The whole has a medium colour and retains a patination.
