S/5795 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Chip Carved Sycamore Knitting Sheath

A well worn early 19th century sycamore knitting sheath, partially damaged with chip carved decoration, carved with the initials W.IV. (possibly William IV) and having twin angled slots for the cow band (apron string). The whole has a pale colour and well worn patination.
