S/5859 Antique Treen 19th Century Burr Oak Lidded Box

An interesting burr oak brass hinged rounded box, having a bramah lock and carved from the solid. It was made specifically, no doubt, to contain a special rectangular item of value. It lacks a key and retains a patination.
