S/5971 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Staved Oak Costrel Initialled G.P.

A pleasing small bow ended 19th century staved oak costrel, initialled G.P. and having iron bands, one replaced at a later date, a raised chip carved stopper and a blacksmith's made D shaped swing handle. The whole has a rich dark colour and excellent patination.
