S/5119 Antique Early 19th Century Oak Knife Rack and Antique Set of Nine Early 20th Century Ebony Handled Table Knives

An unusual oak knife rack having two bars and rectangular holes for twelve knives. It has an angled arched backboard with a suspension cord. The angled base is open, never having had a lid, and could be used for miscellaneous cutlery etc. The whole has a pleasing colour and retains a patination.

Apertures: 1 in. x 0.25 in. (2.5 x 0.625 cm.)

A set of nine ebony handled steel bladed table knives, having blades which are stamped LEBRETON ADOMFRONT. The handles are of tapered hexagonal form.
