An early 20th century coquilla nut tulip shaped vase of miniature form, having an engine turned band on a double concave stem and circular foot.
Coquillas are the nuts of the Attelea Funifera, a palm known in Brazil as the Piassaba. The trees thrive in the swampy ground on the eastern side of South America.
