S/6007 Antique Treen Early 19th Century Yew Wood Pedestal Salt

A substantial yew wood pedestal salt of pleasing proportions, having a vertical tapered bowl that is raised on a concave stem with a shallow central knop, above a sloping incised line base with a rounded foot. The interior and concave underside show detailed turning lathe rings. The whole has an excellent rich colour, grain and patination, as often found in yew wood items.
