Spring Newsletter 2023

29.06.2023

Since our last newsletter in the Autumn of last year, Christmas has come and gone and we look forward to the Spring, with March having the highest rainfall on record. We are to date exhibiting at nine fairs during 2023, Westpoint Exeter in February and Shepton Mallet in March were busier than expected and we met many new clients, including those who had purchased from our website and received their items by post. Our regular buyers were also keen to purchase, some of which had travelled long distances. Our next fair is at Builth Wells on the 29th. and 30th. April. This fair is well worth coming to, as they only hold two events a year, in April and September, so the fair has a good attendance and is always busy.

The website sales have increased considerably to the United States and Canada, encouraged by the weakness of the pound, but European sales have remained fairly minimal, owing to customs and tax charges imposed by the E.U. Interesting and early items of treen are still in short supply, but we still manage to add new items to our website each day when we are not away exhibiting. Please refer to our events page on our website and also remember to use our search box on our homepage to locate a certain item in stock.

Due to twitter wanting to charge a fee for the most secure membership, we shall be leaving them. We will of course continue with our Instagram membership, https://www.instagram.com/j_collins_and_son_antiques and now you will be able to find a slide show of our Instagram items on our homepage. You will also find an Instagram link on our homepage next to the search box.

Jonathan and I look forward to seeing you at our gallery here in Bideford or at one of the fairs we are attending.
